We have been retained by a leading Global scale Cement company in Sudan, Africa.

Incumbent has primary responsibility of undertaking assigned studies personally or coordinating work of engineers temporarily assigned to study projects. Collects and compiles operations data and statistics and highlights anomalies and abnormalities. Coordinates for and compiles technical specifications and design criteria for tender and contract documents and serves as project engineer, as and when assigned.
Preference will be accorded to candidates with successful track records in large, profit-oriented cement companies (preferably from Lafarge, Gujarat Ambuja, etc).
It is best that applicants for the above posting be relatively young in age with proven excellence in their work experience.
They must be open-minded and be able to cope with leading employees of varied nationalities.
Must be technology oriented in their respective fields with ample knowledge in the use and exploitation of modern, up to date computer systems and applications.

1. Performs and coordinates studies in any of the Operations areas based upon objectives and requirements established by the Works General Manager or respective Plant Manager. Includes coordinating with Operations Departments/Divisions for the provision of technical data and expert technical competence if study requires specialization outside his scope.

2. Compiles and finalizes the work of engineers temporarily assigned to study projects.

3. Consults with Operations Departments/Divisions as directed by Works General Manager or respective Plant Manager and provides technical background information on matters including budget studies, development programs, and equipment purchases related to Operations Organization.

4. Collects and compiles accurate records of operations data and information. Highlights and reports anomalies and abnormalities of information and statistics gathered to Works General Manager or respective Plant Manager for further action and studies as required. Prepares and furnishes technical data and statistical requirements of other Departments/Divisions on timely basis as required.

5. Keeps updated information on engineering, research, mechanical and operational procedures and equipment in cement industry and recommends adoption of those that can be used advantageously in Company’s area of operation.

6. Coordinates for and compiles the technical specifications and designs criteria for tender and contract documents that are required by the Company. Includes participating in ad hoc committees established to clarify technical queries raised by tenderers.

7. Serves as project engineer, as and when required, on major contracted projects involving plant equipment purchase, installation and initial operation and liaises between Contractor and Company on all matters during the duration of contract period.

8. Performs occasional technical audits of specified functions in the Operations Organization as and when directed by the Works General Manager or respective Plant Manager.

9. Acts as a member and/or secretary of various established and/or ad hoc committees as assigned.

10. Performs other miscellaneous related duties as directed by Works General Manager or respective Plant Manager.
