The position holder is solely accountable for the achievement of acceptable business targets and growth in market share in terms of both numbers and quality of portfolio. The position-holder will be recruited on the basis of proven marketing and selling skills and is therefore purely guided in terms of business direction. Sales tactics and strategy for the area in consideration are created, executed and controlled by the Sales Manager himself/herself.
More specifically, principal accountabilities relate to:
(1) Accountable for achieving business targets primarily related to acquisition numbers achieved by providing tactical inputs to the channel.
(2) Responsible for successfully growing the distribution channel through quality recruitment and implementing successful executive retention programs.
(3) To track competitor activity in terms of distribution set up and customer promos and pricing.

The job holder is responsible for developing market opportunities for the Personal Loans and Smart Credit products in his centre and increasing market share through effective distribution. He is solely responsible and accountable for the achievement of area specific sales targets and market development. The position holder's primary purpose is to ensure that the business from the Sourcing of a Quality Portfolio is in terms of an acceptable 'Profile' Income and risk grade. Also, the position holder will be responsible for developing an optimal organisation that helps achieve organisational goals effectively.

(1) MBA/Post Grad
(3) 3-4 years experience with extensive experience in Cards and/or Retail asset products Sales & Marketing
(4) Proven negotiating skills & ability to develop business relationships
