We have been retained by a leading Global scale Cement company in Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia having two manufacturing plants located 100 km from King Abdul Aziz Port at Dammam, Saudi Arabia to identify Engineer, Civil Section, Deptt. Engineering for Hofuf

Basic Function: |
Supervises and directs all types of civil works & refractory bricklining works performed by the
Section. Inspects maintenance and repair activities of assigned personnel and implements
approved proposals for improvements on maintenance techniques to achieve higher
productivity.
|
| Duties Performed: |
a) Supervises, directs and coordinates the activities of personnel assigned to Civil
Section to ensure the smooth and safe performance of the assigned work. Performs
supervisory functions and exercises authority at the Section Head level as established
by management.
b) Ensures the proper operating condition and efficient utilization of assigned equipment,
tools and manpower to perform the required maintenance related to refractory lining
and all civil structures at the Plant and residential compound. Initiates material
requisitions and coordinates for receiving materials required for performing
maintenance jobs for the Section.
c) Develops, conducts and evaluates engineering studies associated with constructing,
maintaining and repairing new, existing or modified civil structures & installations and
refractory bricklining for improving efficiency and standards and reducing costs.
Prepares designs and plans for approved expansions and/or modifications of civil
works for supervisor's review.
d) Formulates and implements detailed work plans for the maintenance and repair of all
civil structures & installations and refractory bricklining.
e) Reviews the various work activities of assigned personnel and provides the required
technical guidance and work directives to respective personnel as required.
f) Discusses, coordinates and resolves problems in assigned Section to ensure that
performance and specifications of civil works and jobs are consistent with established
standards.

| Work Contacts: |
a/ Regular contacts with senior personnel at middle management level and occasionally with
Department Heads for coordinating assigned maintenance work activities.
b/ Occasional contacts with external civil works contractors required for performing various civil
works.

| Independence of Operation: |
Reports to both Chief Engineer, Civil (Ain Dar) and Engineering Manager, Hofuf.
Works according to specialized professional standards and ordinary administrative procedures.
Completed work assignments are reviewed by proponent organization and jobs status reviewed
by Chief Engineer, Civil.

| Supervisory Responsibility: |
Foreman, Civil Repairs Unit plus subordinates.
Supervisor, Refractory Group plus subordinates.
|
| Physical Effort and Work Environment: |
70% of working time is spent standing and
walking.
30% of work time in A/C environment.
10-20% of work time exposed to high noise
levels and/or hot and dusty environment.
50-60% of work time exposed to prevailing
weather conditions.

| Minimum Requirements: |
a) Completion of University education in Civil Engineering.
b) 6 years experience in supervising civil maintenance work, preferably at a cement plant.
c) Very good knowledge of English.
