Officer- Warehouse Section, department Materials Supply, Division: Materials Control, Section: Warehouse in cement company in Hofuf and Ain Dar:: MEPA has been retained by a leading Global scale Cement company in Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia having two manufacturing plants located 100 km from King Abdul Aziz Port at Dammam, Saudi Arabia to identify Officer- Warehouse Section.

Directs and supervises the activities of the Warehouse Section, including planning, executing & controlling the safe & efficient handling, storage, maintenance & issue of all materials, equipment & spare parts stored in the Warehouse & associated areas and ensuring their security and protection.

a) Supervises and directs the activities of personnel assigned to Warehouse Section. Performs supervisory functions and exercises authority at the Section Head level as established by Management.

b) Coordinates the safe and efficient movement, storage and issue of all materials and equipment required by the Company. Includes planning & allocation of storage space in the Main Warehouse, Substores, Open Storage Yard, etc., for optimum utilization & facilitating easy access, ensuring suitable storage conditions/ environment for each class of material as per accepted practice & recommendation of manufacturers, monitoring & ensuring safety, security & good housekeeping of all storage locations and materials.

c) Reviews & recommends for approval procedure for loading, unloading, storing, issuing and control of materials to improve efficiency, minimize losses from deterioration or damage and to maintain a high standard of safety and security.

d) Plans, directs and coordinates the off?loading & storage of major deliveries such as explosives, refractories, etc. Coordinates closely with Inspection Controller and Division Head for additional manpower, equipment, etc., and for inspection of the consignment.

e) Coordinates closely with Inventory Controller, Division Heads, etc., to plan & schedule the delivery of major materials such as bauxite, iron ore, gypsum, paper bags, gases, fuel oil, acids, etc., and regulate their deliveries on the basis of requirement, storage constraints, shelf life expiration or damages, 'Eid holidays, etc.

f) Coordinates closely with Inspection Controller on disposal and/or storage of surplus materials and handling of project materials.

g) Performs other related duties such as, coordinating, overseeing & supervising physical stocktaking, adherence to safety procedures, timely processing of stores documents & reports and any other task as assigned by supervisor.

h) Performs other miscellaneous related duties as directed by Chief Engineer, Materials Control Division.

Has routine contacts with personnel of a similar level in other departments/divisions for work coordination.

Regular contacts with Engineer, Inventory Control and Stock Records Section.

Frequent contacts with suppliers for gathering data on market trends, future price projection, demand and supply situation and new products.

Reports to Chief Engineer, Materials Control Division.

Works according to semi professional warehousing standards & procedures.

Work is generally reviewed by supervisor.

Slight physical effort involving walking and standing.

Approximately half of work time is spent in nonA/C Warehouse or Plant grounds with balance of time spent in A/C environment.
